As President and CEO, Dr. Shah Thobani has responsibility for the day-to-day management of both companies and all management and operations of the company's portfolio of managed and owned properties throughout Pakistan, U.S. , India, Canada and UAE. He works across Thobson businesses to help identify and develop new market opportunities as well as to grow the existing customer base and build strategic relationships.
Dr Shah Thobani, provides the overall strategic direction for the company and its 100+ employees, who are focused on helping small businesses establish an online presence and market their products and services through the Internet.
Dr Shah is President and CEO at Thobson Technology since year 1998.
From 1995 to 2000, Dr Shah was involved into deployment of AOL Pakistan and served as President of Asia Online, who was the nation's largest ISP. where he managed the organization's domestic and international connectivity and service provisioning issues and planning the whole business model.
From 1889 to 1997 Dr Shah Thobani worked for The British Deputy High Commission and The British Council as the Country Manager, IT Infrastructure and System where he deployed various technologies and protocols to ensure the connectivity and security issues for one of the diplomatic organization.
Dr Shah was also one of the pioneers to open the very first Computer Institute at The Aga Khan Community, Department Of Computer Studies where he volunteered himself for almost 7 years as the Head of the Department.
Dr Shah hold PhD in Computer Science and a Bachelor Degree in Applied Mathematics. In addition to his 30 years of experience, Dr Shah is also Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Novell Certified Engineer (CNE), Redhat Certified Engineer, Barracuda Certified, Cisco Certified and a Certified Trainer from Open University London.
